What a difference a year makes! There’s been a lot going on at Merino Wealth. Three amazing people joined our team, we moved to a beautiful new office, and added a lot of wonderful new clients. Here are some of our team’s individual highlights both in and out of the office:
● Jessica was promoted from President to the position of Mother this year! After a pandemic pregnancy she had an adorable baby boy, Jackson “Jax” Merino Thoun, this summer. Shortly before the baby was born, Jessica lost her furbaby and Merino Wealth’s mascot--her dog Finnegan. Her pup battled heart failure for months before dying peacefully at home. Once the baby was born both Jessica and her husband Mike took two months of Family Leave to recover and adjust to becoming a family of three. This time was huge for them and we’re happy to say that Jax is thriving.
● 2021 was a busy year for our Financial Counselor, Addie. She moved back to her home state of Wisconsin in June. As part of that move, Addie both sold and bought a house during one of the craziest housing markets we’ve seen. She credits good financial planning and shrewd savings goals for allowing her family to do this without too much stress. Addie’s excited to be closer to family and friends and is looking forward to getting out and exploring her new location in 2022.
● It was a great year for our Financial Planning Associate, Colbey. He was quite the traveler and took vacations to Jamaica, Texas, and California. He recommends to anyone who goes to Jamaica to make sure they visit Dunn's River Falls in Ocho Rios. On top of all his travel, he started his job at Merino Wealth and has really enjoyed his work. He can't wait to travel more in 2022!
● This year so many incredible things happened for our Financial Planning Associate, Maddie. She moved from her small town of Richfield, Wisconsin to the big city of Chicago. She’s now in her first apartment by herself and enjoying all that city life has to offer. The reason for her move was her first career position! She has loved her work at Merino Wealth and enjoys helping our clients reach financial success. She can’t wait for what is to come in 2022.
● Tim was new to the team in 2021, as he accepted our Paraplanner role in January and moved across the country from New Jersey one week later. He has enjoyed his first year at Merino Wealth and getting to know the city of Chicago more thoroughly. Shortly after his move, he rescued his puppy, Dakota, who has made several surprise appearances during team meetings.
